The Type Foundry Poster project for Typographics I: Elements & Process (Part B) focused on selecting a typeface from Adobe Fonts to highlight both the type foundry and the designer. I selected the Cy typeface from the Supertype foundry, designed by Jurgen Huber. The poster design highlighted the wide and subtle variety of lowercase and uppercase letters, from geometeric to curved forms and line weights. Through the exploration of the foreground and background composition, I layered the letterforms to create hierarchy, creatively display letter variations, emphasize line weight and color options, and illustrate unique transitions. The overall design features the type foundaries mission statement, designer, and the monumental opportunities the typeface encompasses.
