The Angelic Byzantine Portrait project for Adobe Illustrator explored an illustration style I admire and emulating it through a portrait of choice. I selected a figure study from Drawing I (Part B) that I felt unsatisfied with in its original graphite form. By merging the Byzantine aesthetic with my own illustrative style, I transformed a simple figure study into an angelic composition, emulating the golden mosaic and halo to bridgng the historical significance of the era with the modern approach. Tools including psychedelic warp, duplication, blob, and pen, with deliberate layer organization, achieved the final result.
